First Look at the New PartyPoker Table

Though I don’t think I’d be remiss to say we former Party players miss those pong-poker-era avatars on PartyPoker, the non-American site has upgraded their table interface, and via the official PartyPoker blog, (perhaps in anticipation of an American return?) here’s what guys like Bill Rini have been working on:

    Heyy Dan, if you don’t mind my asking… what exactly do you mean by that?
    I know Frank’s bill passed the committee vote on Tuesday, but do you know something we don’t?

    Nah, not even close. In fact, I almost took out that line … I just got a little (overly?) excited today about the possibilities of a post-UIGEA world.

    I’m sure even if everything went as best-case scenario as possible, this would be a mere coincidence. Because surely Party has to keep up with their newer European competitors, who had far more contemporary layouts … not to mention the PokerStars and Full Tilts of the world.

    There has been talks between Party and the DOJ about reaching a settlement in the hope that they can return to the US market if online gaming is ever legalized.

    yeah… I heard about that too. It’s kinda puzzling though. What’s the point of holding talks with the DOJ? If poker’s ever legalized they’ll be able to return anyway…

    They had some people going after them back in the pre-UIGEA days. Just crossing their T’s and dotting their I’s, I’d suspect.

    BTW, I looked a little more closely at the table itself, and I gotta say it looks pretty good. the little arrow things at the bottom right of each player makes me think that’s where you can take notes on people, and if it stores your notes forever (which i think it does), that’s pretty awesome.
