While they're not involved in the scandal directly, having both Hellmuth and Duke at the front of the article can't be good for their image. It makes the upcoming 60 Minutes piece (maybe Sept. 28?) all the more interesting.

I just finished reading the complete MSNBC article ... and though nothing is pinned on Hellmuth or Annie Duke, I do get the sense that I will be eating my words defending them in the face of Jen's criticism of their continued involvement with Ultimate Bet.

Seif was on Pokerroad Radio yesterday, and his involvement with the company was brought up. He mentioned that he would reserve comment until the investigation is complete but that he does have an out with them. I'll have to listen to it again to get it complete.

Damn, this is huge-ish. An $85 million lawsuit ... and Phil Hellmuth marching front and center ...

BTW, I am hearing rumors from the Borgata -- totally unconfirmed at this point -- that Mark Seif will be leaving Absolute Poker at the end of this month. (Something to do with a contract expiration.) Again, just rumors ... but still, interesting.
