Regarding the 9To, nobody at the table was very suprised that the big Russian called Bellande's all in raise. He was the chip leader at the table with around 800,000 in chips. He could afford to gamble a bit.

Regarding the hand shake. I actually did shake Bellande's hand, but for some reason ESPN edited it out. It appears on TV that I got dissed by Bellande though, lol

bye bye, lol

***What do folks think about the 9To hand the donkey Russian quickly called a ~96k all in from Bellande pre flop?***

It really all does depend on relative stack size. sometimes worth taking a chance to knock a dude like bellande out ... and i kinda like the 9-10 because odds are you are live against two overs, and even if he has, say, QQ, his flopping a set would only increase your chances of hitting a straight.

and of course if bellande had an even lower pair ... well then it's just a race.

not saying this is a great play, but it's not shocking.

how awesome was the "bye-bye" btw?

I didn't watch it all but did the Russian raised first right to take the blinds? he probably had a big enough stack to risk 96k on it, he could have overs against a small pp or live cards against AK, AQ etc.

And to your other question, all the pro's like him and Matasow always act normal when camera's are not around, they are still talkative but alot nicer.

Since you brought up this ESPN episode....we should discuss some things.

What do folks think about the 9To hand the donkey Russian quickly called a ~96k all in from Bellande pre flop?

Is Hellmuth as much of a douche when the cameras or any form of media are not around?
