Hmm, just noticed PokerGrump’s huge vote count. While I respect the ballot-stuffing, I think you need to have a listing in the Hendon Mob database to be considered a real poker pro.

Yeah, it’s probably good that Daniel is winning, because he’s a true blogger, even if he doesn’t type it himself. He posts his thoughts regularly, and interacts directly with the readers.

Likewise for some of the online pro blogs (Shaniac, Townsend, Annette 15, et al) … these are clearly their personal works.

As to, say, Doyle Brunson’s blog, or Phil Hellmuth’s … well I am sure they are pretty literally “phoning it in”, but Doyle’s is definitely in his voice … and Phil gets a bit personal in his, even if it makes you groan … so I think they still count.

Let’s face it, Shrink, if we could blog without actual typing … we’d SOOOO do it.

I have a problem with your most recent poll Dan because I have no evidence that any of these poker pros actually write their own blog. Wait, I am sure Daniel does; but you and I and any blogger who has been on the tournament circuit has either been approached or knows someone who has or even is currently writing some pro’s blog. So who are we voting for?

i am amazed that people really don’t do any research before saying something. If you look at the vote on HR 4940 you will see only 12 no’s from senators. http://www.govtrack.us/congress/vote.xpd?vote=s2006-241. none of these where running for pres. so i guess no matter who you voted for you are letting poker down.

I agree that Doyle has a great blog, but for some backstory, there’s been 3 separate threads on 2+2 about Doyle’s alleged racism:

All three threads have their moments of hilarity, flaming, off-topic discussion, etc. that make the NVG forum so popular and hated.
