Hmmm ... I hadn't read Nolan's report on that one yet. I'll send him an email to make sure he corrects it going forward.

Looks like I was using Nolan's report a bit too much, my bad there! I believe I noted in last night's evening update when Laurence Grondin was in the top 3 it was the highest finish for a woman in an open event.

Not sure if I understood your statement about Annie Duke, but it sounds like you were saying she was the only woman to make an open WSOP final table this year. Not true.

Annie Duke was the third woman to make an open final table this year, making the two last night the 4th and 5th women to make final tables. Chris Reslock's wife made an early final table, and Ivan Demidov's girlfriend made one during the second week.

He has dual citizenship, so I guess he decided to do dual anthems. From the tournament report:

At his gold bracelet ceremony, Lisandro (who has close ties to three different nations – Australia, Italy, and the United States) requested the national anthem of Italy to be played. In his ceremony ten days ago, Lisandro was honored with the anthem of his birthplace, Australia. Note: Since Lisandro holds duel citizenship, his second victory will be counted as an Italian player.

***before he comes back to the Rio Sunday to hear Italy’s national anthem this afternoon.***

Last bracelet he went with Australia. Is he doing something different this time? Or is that just from the official designation as being from Italy?
