Man, I dunno, losty … I really like the idea, but I’m not so sure it will play out as positively as the SSGI suggests. Opponents of poker-friendly legislation could really seize on this and try to use it against all those democratic Congresswomen who oppose online gambling.

I don’t see the Dems letting something tangentially controversial potentially derail their health care desires. Because as much as it makes sense … it would also make a lot of sense to legalize drugs, which would reduce health care costs in and of itself while bringing in beaucoup tax dollars … and that just ain’t gonna happen (this year).

2268 (that’s the delay-the-uigea bill, right?) seems to be the last-ditch bargaining chip … as in, OK, dudes, if you’re not gonna let us have federal online gambling revenue, at LEAST don’t go enforcing the shit out of a shit bill from 2006. Cool?
