Answer the Deputy's comment in another post:

Considering the notice that they were closing at the end of the month has been taken down and replaced with articles, maybe they're in negotiations with some other entity and will stay active in the meantime.

T.J. calls Bill Smith a close friend, and lies about my pal, the hit man George McGann. He says George killed thirty people. It was more like three or four, probably. One of my pals was there when George killed a fellow, and got killed early the next morning. PokerPages turned down my story George McGann: Poker Player, Gambler, Hit Man, Kennedy Assassin? which is on lots of web sites around the world. Lots of their strategy writers are broke too. Poker is hard, but poker is fair.

When I returned home from the funeral of robbery/murder victim, Dorman "Iron Drawers" Shaw, I wrote an article entitled, Death of A Gambler, for PokerPages. They asked me to write each month, and I did write several articles. However, when I wrote for other places, they quit answering any emails, no matter who I sent them to. They refused to answer on writings that have appeared in magazines, and web sites all over the world. Where will T.J. print his bullshit and lies about Texas gamblers? First time I saw T.J., Bill Smith, World Champ of '85, and a great friend told me T.J. was a burn artist, stiffed everyone he could. Bill, a nice guy, made his disdain for T.J. known, and defeated him at the final table. It is cut and paste time from pokerpages, but I already did that mostly.

Sad news. Working for pokerpages certainly gets you known on the tournament circuit.
They have certainly cut back a lot since the WSOP.
I wonder if the Feduniaks bought it in installments or outright? Either way they lost lots of money on the acquisition.

I almost worked there two or three times, but in the end, I followed in the footsteps of Oliver Tse and couldn't bring myself to take the job.

The largest poker media group photo possible would be the one of all of us who at one time or another worked for PokerPages.
