www.ThisWeekInGambling.com – The American Gaming Association has begun to press the US Congress for Federal online poker legislation as quickly as possible. Also, Caesars is moving toward an online gambling launch of their own, and a look at what's going on in Vegas this month! ————————— THIS WEEK IN GAMBLING (OPEN) Hello friends, we've got a lot of poker to talk about this week, including how poker legislation could affect the entire gaming industry. In just a few moments were going to be taking a look at what you can expect to see if you're traveling to Las Vegas this month… but first, this week's big story. Our friends at the American Gaming Association have started a full court press to try to get some sort of online poker legislation passed at a federal level during the current lame duck session of the US Congress. I fully support the American Gaming Association, and there's a lot of merit to what they're saying. However, it is also in their best interest, and in the interest of big Vegas casinos, if federal rather than state legislation gets passed. However, since I am a fan of federal over state regulation as well, I say keep pushing him AGA! Keep scaring the hell out of those boys up on Capitol Hill …
