Some of the preliminary events were a casualty, as well as the main event that was scheduled to start tomorrow.

Beau Rivage and neighboring casinos have been closed since evacuations were mandated several days ago but will reopen soon, as little to no damage was incurred by the recent storm. There has yet to be an official word about any possible rescheduling of the Gulf Coast Poker Championship. And with more hurricanes approaching the U.S., it might be too soon to schedule anything.

Good luck to all those along the southern and eastern U.S. coasts. Hope you’re spared any damage during hurricane season!
