A few more poker players without a home

The Room (which got my vote for “softest 1/2 game in Dallas”) just, literally, shut its doors. Temporarily, at least. Got an email saying they were going on summer vacation. A few days ago, interestingly enough, their emails said they were gonna start offering free craps lessons.

I wanna see poker keep thriving in Dallas, but gotta say, … as a relatively small stack in the Dallas Poker Game, The Room’s sudden change of course seems like a sensible fold for now.

FYI…just for clarification. they had a large group of players heading to vegas in a couple of weeks. they were only offering the lessons as a courtesy for those players that were unfamiliar with the rules of the game. they certainly weren’t going to have a craps game at the room.

Fair enough. (and cool!) but still … closing the doors even temporarily instead of offering free craps lessons to bona fide gamblers are two opposite directions.
