Even the techy website Slashdot has something to say about Washington state\’s assertions that linking to online poker sites violates its new law (and is a felony).
You know, Johnny Holmes, the famous former Harris County DA, once said, \”The best way to repeal a bad law is to enforce it vigorously.\” If these sorts of outrageous claims are what it takes to bring the non-poker media\’s attention to poker issues (which will be in play on the U.S. House floor later this month), then maybe the Washington law is actually a good thing for poker.
You just gotta hope not too many Todd Boutes — the guy who ran IntergrityCasinoGuide.com before being scared into shutting it down — get sacrificed in the process.
