It’s no longer the year of getting there. So what will 2007 bring? A lot of us are wondering …

I was thinking something along the lines of “2007: this one goes to 11.” (British accent, please.) But I just got my first spam of the new year from Live Straddle, and they remind me of another possibility, with a subject line that says, “2007 offsuit, the year of the hammer.” Can’t believe I didn’t see that obvious connection. And so much for my resolution to only play good cards this year.

    i am aiming high. my goal is to win some big tournaments so i can get lots of money and be on High Stakes Poker (greatest poker show on tv now) for season 4 or 5. i have HIGH hopes.

    would love to drop $200,000 and watch it get bluffed away.

    someone on my site reported tonight that their fried that was ticketed in the live straddle raid… i mean aces raid … had his day in court and that since none of the SWAT officers showed up the ticket was dismissed.

    If it was today I heard there was a big SWAT team in the shopping center parking lot at Preston and LBJ today during lunch. Don’t think it had anything to do with a poker game but I could be wrong. Maybe they decided to take care of real criminals and missed the court date.
