The ongoing lawsuit between top notch pros such as Joe Hachem, Annie Duke, Phil Gordon, et al vs. WPTE (owner of the WPT) has made another step forward or back depending on how you look at it. The Kool Katz at Wicked Chops have the past and present news on this current legal battle that could affect the future of televised poker. More to come…

Just wondering, but what is the word on the poker streets from the pros not involved in this lawsuit, how do they feel? Everyone knows Daniel Negreneau’s thoughts, but what about the other big names like Ivey, Hansen, Doyle, Cunningham, etc think about this?

I’ll defer to Tom and Michele on that … since they have probably talked with the pros themselves. I know Tom actually got a “card” to play in the PPT … but little has happened with the operation since then.
Anyone else know what the pros are saying?

I will have to ask around. A lot of people complain when players don’t speak out on current events. I’m sure one reason is because ultimately we end up playing one another. Having enemies at the table can hurt your strategy (yes, it can help it too). And poker strategy is their main concern, not the politics of poker.
