Give Me Money or Give Me Death!
The Legends of Poker tourney is at the money bubble, and Pokerati’s two Arizona bitches “main men” are still alive. Tom Schneider seems to have floundered a bit, but that’s probably just a ploy, as he claims to be in some sort of “zone.”
Robert Goldfarb is hanging on via my favorite strategy of getting the money in when you are behind and taking full advantage of a favorable board:
2nd to last hand of night I moved all in for 17,500 with QT. Dutch Boyd called me with TT. When the cards were turned up I said ‘im pretty good at these’ 44k.
Awesome. Can you see why I love this guy?And then most recently, today, as in like a few minutes ago:
Pushed 34k with 55, Ali [Sarkeshik] calls with KK. What was he thinking. 74k.
Click here to follow the action as they play down to 18(?) tonight.
UPDATE from ROBERT:
$
Can we get a Boo-yah?
NOTE: Condolences are in order for Arizona’s Mike Wattel, who obviously needs to work on his card-catching/dodging skills.

I think this Pokerati fame is going to someone’s head. Someone being Robert. Me being jealous because he has a new boyfriend who gets more information than his girlfriend. Sigh.
Nonetheless, Congratulations Arizona Posse! Bring home the turkey bacon!

True enough Lisa, but you get the cuddle-time.
P.S. He doesn’t really have any fame yet. The (non-Arizona) readers won’t really give a flip about Robert until he starts making more final tables. They are shallow that way.

From the official WPT live updates:
Robert Goldfarb raises to 25,000 from late position and Robert Nehoryan moves all in for 75,000 total from the button. It is folded back around to Goldfarb, and he makes the call with A9. Nehoryan is in the lead when he shows A10 but the board runs 96532 and Nehoryan is eliminated. He mutters, “so sick†as he takes off from the poker room.

Ummm, he’s on a roll. Again from the WPT live updates…
On the very next hand the table folds around to Dutch Boyd in the small blind who moves all in [32k]. The big blind, Robert Goldfarb, calls.
Dutch Boyd shows 64 and Goldfarb flips over A8. The board comes KQ10A5, no help to Dutch Boyd and he is set home with $20,575 in 30th.

Check out the WPT updates page, because there is an interview with Tom from the last break. Should be posted in a few minutes. 🙂

Oops … I was watching from across the room, and thought I saw Tom being interviewed. But there won’t be a video going up. My bad!
They’ll have to catch him when he make the final table. We *can’t* avoid him at that point, right? 🙂

In the words of Tom’s wife, Julie … “That’s what you do, baby!”
Seriously, Lisa, my affection for Robert grows with every dominated situation he finds himself in. Maybe you should be afraid.

Dan, who do you think taught Robert to do what he does?

Yep, Robert sucks out with the best of ’em.
so much murmur.

So Lisa, I’m figuring Robert pretty much needs to make the final table to eradicate his WSOP losses. Is that about right? How much further will he have to go to buy you something pretty?

The good thing is that I’m not a “buy me something pretty” kind of girlfriend. I’m a “keep me in novels and air conditioning” kind of girl.
