I am so happy to see that our Houston dollars are going to fight the poker room “crime”! I have personally been held up twice in Houston, once at gunpoint and once by having Clorox thrown in my eyes and wonder why a few card players now takes precedence over catching these types of violent criminals. Houston is currently the number one city in the nation for homicides and as a nightly poker player I have yet to witness a homicide in a poker room – even if someone sucks out on the river. Furthermore – since when has a 1-2 hold-em game been considered “high stakes”? Use some common sense people and don’t let a piss-poor, bored “investigative” reporter try to sensationalize this!
