Hellmuth Creates a Spectacle at WSOP

Something Involving Army Vehicles

by , Jul 6, 2008 | 5:19 pm

It was inevitable that Phil Hellmuth would do something bizarre when he showed up for the WSOP main event. Last year, he attempted to be a NASCAR driver and crashed. This year, the word was that he was arriving today at 2pm in an Army tank. Truthfully, we don’t care.

I hear that it turned out to be some sort of Army jeep. Phil and some other UB-sponsored player showed up wearing faux Army gear, there were 11 supposedly hot women who escorted them in to the Rio, and some fans were said to have loved it. Blah.

At the time of the display of ridiculousness, I believe I was doing something important like eating lunch or thinking about getting my nails done. Sorry, folks, but Phil’s antics are falling on deaf eyes and ears this year. The thrill, if there ever was one, is gone.
