This was the first time I didn’t think that whole TJ Cookier bit was stupid. In fact, his cameo kinda made the whole thing for me. Patrik Antonius was also pretty priceless.
It’s funny how stories always make it here AFTER it’s posted on wickedchopspoker.com. And that goes double for Jen and her posts after lasvegasvegas.com
man, edbucks, you don’t let us slack off for even a second, do you? i mean sheeot, it’s a holiday and everything!
believe it or not, our makeshift, rag-tag, not-so-paid crew doesn’t take pride in just following other blogs. I am fairly confident that you will see sometimes the sites you mention “break” stuff, and sometimes we do. think of it as Mutually Assured Laziness. in fact, i’m very confident The Entities at WCP have no problem with our posting of this RawVegas vid. (And generally, not always, when we see something on WCP or LVV or anywhere else first, but still choose to write about it, we give them credit. In this case, I happened to see it first on RVTV.)
dude, are you like turning into Andrew Hime or something. (Hime was one of our loyalist fans from the early days who at some point turned to the dark side, declaring Pokerati as “irrelevant” on somebody’s livejournal.)
anyhow, our general rule here is “the reader comes first.” so if we think it would/should interest the reader, we write about it. but not all readers really merit our attention — readers/haters like you — because you clearly don’t know what you are talking about. If we were to make a list of all the stories “broken” in 2008 … i am pretty sure you would see Pokerati, Wicked Chops, and PokerNews all with roughly the same numbers. CardPlayer, meanwhile, breaks about the same number of stories as Pokerdoodle.
Anyhow, thanks for reading/hating and providing us your unpaid feedback. we don’t force anyone to come here, of course, and we don’t ban irritating commenters like 2+2, so why don’t you take a break from us, and stop reading for a month or two? cool? don’t worry, we’ll be able to hold up the fort with the help of real commenters like the real ed (with a starbucks avatar), ItsOverJonny, Tom, Alicia, LuckyDogRuss, Marvin Chomsky, and Donkey.
It’s amazing how this blog only seems to report on things AFTER they happen. You guys are just like all the “news” outlets on television that only cover stories after they’ve already unfolded.
Next time, try not to be such HACKS and write about Raw Vegas videos before they are made please.

They could have used TJ Cloutier instead of the cookie thing. Now that’s humor.

Beyond the Table is no RawVegas. Tom’s fault.
