A leftover story from around Christmastime related to the Choctaw bus and an overall decline in U.S. gambling revenues …

So will someone please explain to me why Texas is still allowing all of this money to leave the state and go to that #$@%#-hole that is Oklahoma? Unbelievable.

Simple Bill, eventhough Oklahoma is considered the belt buckle of the bible belt, the indian corporation lobbied and pumped a lot of revenue to pass the law to legalize gambling. Texas on the other hand, wants to focus on scratch off tickets and the lottery. Thus Texas doesn’t have any major revenue backed entities to push legislature to legalize casino gambling. So Texans, will do for what they have been doing for recent decades and go to Louisana and Oklahoma. Simply put, much like the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Longhorns, everyone in Texas wants to believe theyre the best in the country but when push comes to push, theyre all talk with little action and a lot of complaining!
