Raymer Representin’ for PPA

Greg Raymer has always been an avid supporter of the Poker Players Alliance for years, and he has never been afraid to travel/speak/promote when needed. Within the last few weeks, he attended a reception hosted by Americans for Tax Reform founder Grover Norquist at the scene of the CPAC (Conservative Political Action Committee) conference in D.C.
Subsequently, Raymer was invited to appear on Fox Business News. His message seemed to be well-received, despite the female news correspondent calling him Greg “Rainer” at the end of the interview.

I guess if Churchill was willing to work with Stalin in WWII, we can work with the likes of CPAC and Fox. But we’re not splitting Germany in half this time around.

Haha, Gene. It was painful for me to post a Fox video, believe me. And I try not to see it as us working with CPAC and Fox, more that we need their support. Ugh.

I think this is great that Raymer got to lay out such a sober argument.

But he laid it out to ATR, CPAC, and Fox..
They wouldn’t know a good argument if you punched them in the face with it..
The fact that any of them have any say on anything at all (The above groups, Not Raymer) is scary enough.

You can criticize Fox News all you want, but I don’t see a similar clip from CNN or MSNBC. If we’re going to legalize online poker in the United States, we need to look at everyone as potential allies rather than potential adversaries.

And actually, it’s probably a little more important to win over the Foxies.

BJ, the *only* reason I did the post was because of Raymer. I’m on the PPA train for sure, and I know we need the cooperation of everyone to reach the goal. But that doesn’t mean I have to like Fox or give them any more credit than they deserve.
