I am so totally in shock right now I cannot explain because I am numb.
He just comes home from the Hospital, was feeling good he said and was posting at Poker Road.
I, as many met Justin and had a great time kidding him in the forums, I recently did a Video about him, “Do you have Shronk” He was as intelligent a person I ever met and words cannot describe the loss we all have suffered.
My prayers and thoughts with his family and too all those at Poker Road Radio who loved him so much, we lost a brother last night. May he be with us forever!

I’m not sure if I should be surprised that this hits me a lot harder than Chip Reese’s passing. I didn’t know either of them. But this one really makes me take a look at life, … and from a vantage point that’s a lot more familiar.

Funny, I just saw the video. Ironic-sad:

I know the feeling Karridy, I never met Justin personally but I’m definitely a lot more emotional on his passing than anyone else that isn’t a family member.

I came here in a desperate attempt to fill the void left in my life this past weekend. Thank you all so much for your kind words in this time of sorrow. My brother loved his job and his friends at Poker Road and it means so much to my family that he is in your thoughts.

We wouldn’t be saying this about just anyone in the poker media, Courtney … people always enjoyed working with him and even just near him — something that can’t really be said for the rest of us who lock ourselves in the Amazon Room each summer. I’m sure that doesn’t make you miss him any less, but know his absence will definitely be felt at the WSOP this year.
He also had the most amazing bowling bag many of us had ever seen.

Courtney, the outpouring of love for Shronk and their condolences for you and the rest of his family are believable only because I knew Shronk and what an amazing person he was. Only three of the forums where people are expressing their feelings:

I hope you find some peace in all of the love and concern from the poker community.

My thoughts are too long and complicated to fit into a comment, so I wrote a long post in the PokerRoad Forums:
http://www.pokerroad.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6310
I’m not sure if what I wrote is appropriate, because it includes a partial timeline of his last day. But for whatever reason, that’s what I *needed* to write; those were the words that I had to get out of me. I hope I don’t upset anyone.

With a very broken heart, I thank all of you for loving and caring so much, your thoughts are comforting not only to me, but to all of his family. Coleen (step-mother)
