Hey! Steven Begleiter 27,260,000
(and I emailed you the picks for Benjo)

With 10 players remaining and 1 more to eliminate, there are four contenders for the dough.
Change100, Matthew, Lana and yes, the Poker Shrink each have four players still in contention.
(ignore Dan’s crossouts, Steven Begleiter lives!)

….. and it finishes with a four-way tie, which we agreed would be settled by the the previous bust-out order. Calculating now.

None of the four contenders had Smith in 10th or Robbins in 11th.
Both Lana and I had Kopp in 12th, eliminating Matthew and Change100.
Neither of us had Calderaro in 13th.
I had Ben Lamb in 14th.
So after BJ and other eagle-eyed participants check my bust-out math…… it appears that I have scammed my own prop bet by picking the top nine chipleaders at 64 players.

Crossouts duly corrected, Shrink. I must say, overall, the media picked very poorly.

media prop-betting is rigged.

You know Dan, I have to agree this was not our finest hour, however, drinks are on me!

Of our 16 “experts”, no one picked:
Eric Buchman
Kevin Schaffel
What are the odds?

I’ll sign off on Poker Shrink’s math — he is the winner of the media pool!
Thankfully, nobody got seven out of nine, saving me $20.

Unlike Dan, I think the media did quite well. Four people got four out of nine players — that’s pretty damn strong, when they were picking with 64 players remaining.
Especially when you factor in people like me, who were picking dream final tables rather than realistic final tables.
Clearly, many of us would have had an 0-fer if it weren’t for Phil Ivey, who was the most obvious pick in the field. Which is, of course, why Pauly didn’t choose him, because that’s how he rolls. But Pauly did hedge his bets by picking the unknown chipleader, which kept Pauly from getting an 0-fer.
