Joe Sebok: UB Superuser hand histories available soon

by , Sep 24, 2009 | 6:08 am

One of the main complaints about those affected by the UB superuser scandal is that players have not been able to see their hand histories against the list of 100+ superusers. From Joe Sebok’s blog:

Whew, crazy couple of days. Thanks everyone for all the support. You guys are amazing and I can’t thank you enough for the love. For the skeptical, I just ask that you give the situation some more time…

Now, let’s get to the release of the hand histories. It’s a two-part process and here is the rundown:

First off, UB is currently working to catch up on all past historical requests, so be aware of that if you already have a request in. In truth though, it can’t hurt to send another email request just to lock it up. You can do so at pokersecurity@ultimatebet.com. Please include all pertinent information in your email: your name, address, and your user name.

Now, once your request has been processed you should expect a summary version of the information first. It’ll be a spreadsheet that details every hand you specifically played against each of the identified 117 cheating accounts. This will be a complete record of all those hands so that you can go through and verify the refund amounts yourselves. This will act as a summary as we want to get something out to you while the actual detailed hand histories are processed, which obviously takes longer.

Some hand histories will go out quickly, as they won’t contain as many hands as others. Some players have played a ridiculous amount of hands however and that will take a longer amount of time to process. Again, this is the reason for the first, summary hand breakdown of the information, as that gets something in your hands that you can begin checking sooner.

Please be a little patient with getting this information out and back to you once you have requested it. I know you have all been waiting for quite a while, but this kind of project takes some time to run through.

Thanks to the KGC and UB for making this all happen. I am impressed to say the least.

I sent in my request for my hand histories … because really, I’d like to know who cheated me out of $217 that was later refunded to me. I even referenced joe Sebok in my email subject line. Apparently Ruth from security was not familiar with what Joe had going on:

    Dear Mr. Michalski,

    Thank you for contacting support.

Our poker software automatically keeps records of any game you play on your hard disk. You can easily review your complete hand histories by going to our “Main Poker Lobby” and clicking on the “My Account” pull-down menu located at the top left-hand corner of the window.

Once there, two options will appear. Select the “Open My Hand History Files” option, which will open a new window. Click on the “Open” menu and then select the file with your username. Then, choose the table or tourney that you want to see the hand history for.

The data can be sorted by date, table, tourney number, etc.

By following these instructions, you should be able to find the hand histories for any game you have played. If you continue to have trouble retrieving your records, we will gladly send you the information you desire.

    Best Regards,
    Ruth

Try tomorrow and see what happens.

Or you could just repeatedly email support until you get someone who knows what you’re talking about.

    ‘Interesting, Very Interesting”

I know when I first went ON Line I started at UB. I also played at Hollywood Poker.

I know I played against one of the super users, NIO NIO I actually bombarded him in the chat area and I complained to UB support about him.

I can no longer access my account at UB it will not let me log in. This has been for about a year now, but I never pursued it. Maybe I should now.

I got a reply to my reply to the reply … apparently I may have imagined my victimization:

    Hello Dan,

    Thank you for contacting us.
Your email was escalated to me by my team.
After reviewing your account “pokerati dan” I noticed that there was no refund credited to that account.
If you have any other accounts that you would like us to look into we will be happy to.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hmm, it is possible, I suppose. I just remember getting an email shortly after the refunds were issued informing me I had money on UB now. Will see if I can find that old email on an old computer.
