Another Poker Game Show on the Horizon?

Buzzerblog, which covers the game show industry, reported last week about a pilot for a poker game show where players can win up to $1,000,000. Shuffle Up and Deal, which states that it’s the first “family-friendly” poker-themed game show, will have five contestants attempt to create the best poker hand from an oversized electronic poker board. Whomever makes the most money will have an opportunity to win $1,000,000 at the end of each show. Interested participants should fire off an email to ontheshow@shuffleuptv.com for taping in November.

Why do they keep putting on these garbage poker shows? Who wants to watch amatuers? I taped and watched about 10 minutes of Negreanu’s new show and although better than the Cowboy game, it stunk. So does Face the Ace. It looked more like The Price is Right.
How’s this for an idea. Duplicate heads up. Three or four pairs of pros playing the same cards and see who plays them the best.

Their concept sounds like one of the games we have on our website:

Much as we think the game is great training I don’t think I’d find watching people do this to be of any interest.
I like Marvin’s idea for a show: the duplicate cards. That is something I’d definitely watch.
