Today’s WSOP Bracelet Boxscore

Carter Phillips $664,130 – Event #31 $1,500 NLHE
David Baker $451,779 – Event #32 $10,000 H.O.R.S.E.
Max Steinberg $440,238 – Event #33 $1,000 NLHE

Timing these updates is growing tougher when every other day Phil Ivey is making a final table. He’s back here in the Mothership trying again to win his 9th bracelet, this time in the $2,500 Mix Hold’em tournament. This is his 5th final table of the summer including the the $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. The lineup was Ivey, Phil Hellmuth, Matt Waxman, Abe Mosseri, John Monnette, Dan Kelly, David “Bakes” Baker, and Poker PROductions’ Mori Eskandani. Crowd (and Maria “Maridu” Mayrinck) favorite David Baker defeated Angry John Monnette for his 2nd career bracelet.

Looks like the battle will be for the #2 poker player in the world.

Link Dump

Tweet o’ the Day – This is unacceptable, they managed to get Hellmuth’s number of bracelets correct but airball on Seidel’s name. Eric, Erik, Erick. Know them, learn them, remember them.

(Out of Context) Tweets o’ the Day – Brad Booth wants Rosemary Garlic Chicken, and a big helping of Hellmuth for dessert.

Kevmath versus Brad Booth – And it didn’t end with the above tweets, next stop was Kevin “Kevmath” Mathers. He’s a tough guy to piss off but apparently it’s possible. I’m sure there’s more coming on the Brad Booth/Phil Hellmuth/UB/Payola issue to come.

QuadJacks WSOP ROI Database – Every player has a positive ROI at the WSOP over the last two years, just ask them. But if you want to see a players real ROI, QuadJacks is working on just that very thing. Still a few bugs to iron out but it’s an interesting place to check out those selling action.

Lindgren Bubbles In The Strangest of Circumstances – Bubble, bubble. Bizarre end for Erick Lindgren in the $5,000 PLO 6-Handed tournament on the stone cold bubble. He technically called the clock on himself when the former Full Tilt Poker and Fantasy Sports professional did not hear is opponent announce pot (or all-in depending on the witness) and the end result left the rest of the field in the money.

WSOP VIDEO: Pro-Spective with Matt Glantz – BLUFF Magazine interviews Matt Glantz about all things Epic, including his take on Negreanu.
