How to Miss the Greatest Parties in Vegas

Since Dan moved to Vegas last week, he has successfully missed at least one of the biggest parties of the year.

40-40 ClubJay-Z held the grand opening of his new 40/40 Club at the Venetian in Vegas on December 30th. Jay-Z brought Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Robin Thicke, Ne-Yo, Cindy Margolis, Charles Barkley, LeBron James, Alex Rodriguez, and even Rev. Al Sharpton for the bash. And yes, Dan had an invitation to attend but didn’t open his e-mail until a day late.

Could this just be a fluke, a casualty of a semi-chaotic move from Dallas to Vegas?

isn’t his new gig to cover shit exactly like that?

    Ummm, yeah.

  • Fawcett

so is he headed home already then?

I’m pretty sure he’s staying in Vegas. And I’m sure he won’t be telling me about missed party opportunities anymore.

I’m assuming Clonie wasn’t there which explains Dan’s absence. Then again, if she was there and he missed it, then Dan is beginning his new life exactly the way he likes it…drawing to a two-outer.

I also missed a party at the Hugh Hefner suite at the palms. Pauly Shore was there along with some MMA fighters and a bunch of coke-whores hotties doing cocaine, from what I understand. Hey, I am just trying to establish a higher party appearance fee.

Can you imagine how much fun I could have had with the second-ranked Pauly on Google? But fortunately these events don’t seem to stop.

By the way, Tiger Woods and Eminem were also at the 40/40 party I missed. I like both those guys, who make for good material in Dave Chapelle’s racial draft … oh, and Dave Chapelle was there, too.

How quickly is this site going to become a rainstorm of Dan dropping names? I have played golf with Tiger Woods…suck on that.

Dude, I’ve mentioned to a few people that “I’ve played poker with Scott Fawcett” … but nothing, just blank stares.
