CoinPoker is gearing up for another massive series. The Global Online Poker Championship (GOPC) kicks off on August 23, bringing $50,000,000 in guaranteed prizes spread across 700+ Medal events.
The series will run until September 28, giving all players a chance to get involved. The schedule has been designed so that it caters to players across different time zones, so whether you live in Europe, Asia, or Latin America, you’ll find plenty of tournaments to keep you busy.
In addition to generous guarantees, players can also look forward to $350,000 in added value. CoinPoker will distribute this extra cash via various leaderboards and promotions, making the GOPC that much more attractive.
All Time Zones & All Bankrolls Welcome
The operator is really pulling all the stops with its upcoming Global Online Poker Championship. CoinPoker has a truly international player pool, which means that fixed starting times across the series will never work across the board.
To address the issue, the room has designed the series schedule so that it has tournaments starting at different times, ensuring that players from different time zones can find events that start and finish at reasonable hours.
Additionally, all marquee events will also feature three buy-in tiers, making them accessible to all players, regardless of what type of bankroll they have access to.
The driving idea behind the series is to make it a truly global festival for all players. You don’t have to change your life or sleep patterns to be able to play, and you can enjoy the action at the stakes that you’re comfortable with.
Three Main Events, $4,000,000+ Guaranteed
The GOPC will feature three Main Events with three different buy-ins. That way, everyone can experience the thrill of playing an online major.
The $530 Main Event is the flagship of the series, featuring a massive $3,000,000 guarantee. There will be Day 1 flights available throughout the series, mostly on Sundays, with Day 2 action taking place on September 28.
The $55 version of the Main Event comes with a promise of $1,000,000 and daily Day 1 flights available throughout the series. Day 2 will play out on September 21.
Finally, the $11 Main Event features a guarantee of $250,000. Day 1 flights will be available on a daily basis, while the final day of the tournament will also play out on Monday, September 21.
Medals, Promotions, and Leaderboards
Players will be fighting for more than a share of the prize pool in GOPC tournaments. Top three finishers in every event will receive medals (gold, silver, and bronze). These will be displayed in the digital Trophy Cabinet, and Gold Medal winners will also receive real-life prizes.
Additionally, all medals contribute toward the GPOC Podium Race, which will award $20,000 to the top five finishers. Importantly, all medals bring the same number of points, so whether you win Gold in a low-stakes GOPC event or playing in a high-roller event, you’ll get the same points for the Podium Race.
The most generous promotion connected to the series is Comeback Lanes. The promotion will dish out $250,000 in prizes, awarded in the form of tournament tickets. Points are based solely on participation, based on non-cashing tournament entries.
Finally, the Top 10 Leaderboards promo will feature $80,000 in prizes, distributed across three buy-in tiers. Your best ten results throughout the series will count toward your final standing.
Long story short, there will be a lot happening on CoinPoker once the Global Poker Online Championship gets underway on August 23, and there will be some great opportunities for all players to boost their bankrolls and claim some cool trophies and bragging rights.
