The opening Sunday of OSS XL already produced an interesting Mini Phil’s Thrill storyline when ACR Poker CEO Phil Nagy, playing as Justsomefish72, reached its final table on the same day he finished runner-up in the $10,300 Phil’s Thrill.
This Sunday brings another chance for the high-stakes crowd to take a run at it.
Plenty Below the High-Stakes Level
The September 13th schedule is not simply a wall of four-figure buy-ins.
The $27.50 Sunday Smash comes with a $100,000 guarantee, while an $88 PKO offers $150,000 guaranteed.
There are Mystery Bounty events, traditional tournaments, PKOs and Omaha variants scattered through the day, with buy-ins dropping all the way into the single digits.
That range is an important part of what ACR Poker is doing with OSS XL.

The tournament carries a $250 buy-in and uses a cumulative-stack format, meaning players who have already qualified for Day 2 can return to later flights and add another qualifying stack to the chips they have already secured.
With 41 Day 1 flights now on the calendar, the Anniversary Tournament has become another major part of ACR Poker’s September tournament schedule.

Add up the guarantees on ACR Poker’s published OSS XL schedule for September 13th and the figure reaches $4,065,500.
That is before trying to package Sunday around a single tournament or a single type of player.
