Today\’s a big day for poker in Dallas County. Sorta. Some cases from JB\’s/Goodfellows are at the Dallas County Courthouse right now. I don\’t have many details — perhaps some of the defendants can fill us in as their cases get postponed/settled/dismissed (or otherwise adjudicated, of course).

UPDATE: All cases against players dismissed. Charges against dealers and room operators put on deferred adjudication … meaning if they can stay clear of running a poker room for 90 days, all problems will go away.

I was at Goodfellas that infamous night. My courthouse appearance was about 3 weeks ago and my ticket got dismissed as well.
Seems the Courts and the Vice Squad are on different pages when it comes to the “people” saying they want illegal poker games stopped.
I was at The Straddle when it was raided and have my day in court next Wednesday.
I hope this trend continues. will keep everyone posted with the verdict.
Case dismissed….no witness. I know of three from the Straddle also dismissed in the past week.
