The WSOP website has put out their Staff Resource Guide, containing over 230 pages of various information about this year’s World Series of Poker. There you can find floor plans for the three poker rooms that will be in use this year (no tournament tables at the Poker Room or Buzio’s, their seafood restaurant). You’ll also find the structures for every tournament one can take part in the Rio. You’ll also find a copy of the tournament rules and procedures, a dealer’s reference guide, how the tournament and floor staff will be compensated, and a copy of the daily calendar. The calendar also includes their projections on how many entrants will be in each bracelet event (and a comparison from last year when available), which is as follows:

They assume most events will go up from 7-10 percent, which seems optimistic given the economy and poker in the United States, but with the brand that Harrah’s has helped develop with the World Series of Poker, it’ll be intriguing to see how close they get in terms of numbers.

It would’ve been better if they didn’t turn things on its end, but doing View/Rotating view/Clockwise in your Adobe Reader does wonders.

While this may be true, it gives me nothing to complain about.

In my failed attempt to give Dan a hard time, I failed to notice that he didn’t post this.

    My apologies.

They’re predicting more players (okay, one more player) in the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. than the $40,000 No-Limit Hold’em. That seems extremely unlikely to me, especially given the fact that the $40K will be televised by ESPN and H.O.R.S.E. won’t.
