CoinPoker seems set to continue on the improvement journey it embarked on at the start of the year. Every few weeks, there are some new features and interesting developments to keep things fresh and exciting for the players.
The operator kicked November off on a strong note, rolling out a number of improvements across the board.
The ones that stand out are high-stakes tables with a minimum VPIP percentage and the announcement of mystery bounty tournaments. On top of these, CoinPoker rolled out a few dozen smaller improvements, inspired by player feedback.
Mystery Bounty Tournaments Are Coming
Recently, mystery bounty tournaments have become all the rage, turning into one of the most popular MTT formats out there. Looking to keep its player base happy, CoinPoker is adding mystery bounties to its repertoire.
The operator will follow the tried-and-tested formula. Bounties kick in once the ITM stage is reached. After that, every player you eliminate will bring you a cash bounty. However, the value of each knockout is determined at random, which adds a lot of excitement to these tournaments.
As long as big bounties are still in play, every elimination is potentially worth a lot of money. This influences the strategy and also provides opportunities for recreational players to boost their bankrolls without having to win a whole thing.
After the initial phase, we expect mystery bounties to become a regular feature on CoinPoker, both as a part of the operator’s weekly schedule and its major tournament series.
Minimum VPIP Requirements for High Stakes Tables
CoinPoker has rolled out an interesting feature across its high-stakes tables, aimed at creating more action. Namely, there is a minimum VPIP threshold that all players must meet to continue playing; if they fall below the threshold, they lose their seat.
The VPIP percentage is recalculated based on the number of hands played, but once the player loses their seat, they are unable to rejoin the same table for two hours.
This change was met with mixed reactions from the players. Some support it, believing this will create more entertaining games, while others are of the opinion that the site shouldn’t dictate how one plays and what strategy they implement.
For the time being, the VPIP threshold is only active in high-stakes games, but there is a possibility of this feature being tested at lower limits if a majority of players support it.
PGT Online Is Just Around the Corner
Together with new features and software improvements, CoinPoker continues to offer some of the best tournament action out there.
Just recently, the operator partnered with PokerGO Tour to bring the popular series online, and the first of the six series is starting in just a couple of days.
Aptly dubbed the PGT Kickoff Online, the series runs November 8 – 30, bringing $50,000,000 in guaranteed prizes. There are three events featuring $1,000,000 prize pools and a variety of tournaments with hefty six-figure guarantees.
All in all, the operator is entering the final stretch of 2026 in style, finishing on a strong note, and hinting at even bigger and better things to come the next year!
