Another week filled with exciting poker moments is behind us, as live and online players alike took to the felt in search of history.
The world’s elite assembled over in Jeju for another stop of the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series, which included a record-breaking Invitational event and a number of other high-profile tournaments.
It was Brazilian Joao Simao who dominated in Jeju, winning the Invitational and getting second place in the $150k Anniversary event for nearly $10 million in total payouts, while Nick Schulman won the Main Event for another incredible chapter in his own poker story.
Over in the online poker world, Benny Glaser continued showing what makes him one of the best in the world by taking down another WCOOP title, as he keeps on marching to poker immortality.
For cash game fans, Hustler Casino Live hosted an All-Star Game that included some of the most popular players who ever played on the show, including Nik Airball, Rampage, and Mariano, among others.
For all of you who missed some of the key events of the week, here is a quick recap of the three most entertaining stories that marked the last seven days.
Triton Poker Series Sets New Records
Triton Poker hosted another Super High Roller Series in Jeju last week, and it turned into one of the most successful ones since the Series’ inception.
By far the biggest attraction of the Jeju stop was the Triton Poker Invitational, a $200,000 buy-in event that featured a 50/50 split between professional and recreational poker players.
The popular format has been a great success ever since it was first introduced on the tour, but last week’s event proved to be the most successful yet, drawing in a total of 173 players, 31 of whom made the money.
The likes of Ben Heath, David Coleman, Esti Wang, Eric Wasserson, and Adrian Mateos were among the players who made the money but failed to reach the final table, while seven players in total ended up cashing for more than a million dollars.
As action dwindled down to final three, it was three successful professional players who remained, battling it out for the $7,250,000 first-place prize.
Seth Davies fell in third, taking home a $3.47 million payout, while Biao Ding ended up losing the heads-up battle to Joao Simao. Ding had to settlg for the $4.94 million second-place prize, while the trophy went back to Brazil with Simao, who has been having the best year of his career.
A number of other exciting events played out in Jeju beyond the Invitational as well, including the $150,000 Triton Poker Main Event, which saw none other than Nick Schulman dominate over a field of 196.
Schulman outlasted a final table that included the likes of Wesley Fei, Isaac Haxton, and Xu Yang, and defeated Bernhard Binder heads-up to take down the trophy.

Schulman got paid $3.85 million for his efforts, as he continued to prove that his recent Poker Hall of Fame induction was no fluke, and that he very much belongs among the poker’s most elite players.
The $150k Triton Poker 10th Anniversarry event title went to Nick Petrangelo, who won $2.21 million after a heads-up deal with Joao Simao, who ended up having a week of his dreams in Jeju.
Simao won another $2.5 million in the Anniversary tournament, taking his total for the Jeju trip to close to $10,000,000.
Following a super successful Jeju stop, Triton Poker will be taking a short break until November, when the Series moves to Cyprus for a full month of exciting Super High Roller and Triton One events.
Benny Glaser Continues His WCOOP Dominance
The likes of Daniel Negreanu and Phil Hellmuth remain tournament poker GOATs for the time being, but a new generation of poker players has been on their tracks in recent years, seriously threatening to one day overtake them in numbers and popularity alike.
One of the most representative players of that generation is Benny Glaser, the relentless Brit whose success in both live and online poker has been out of this world.
Benny’s online poker dominance started just eight years ago, when he won his first WCOOP title over at PokerStars, and he’s never looked back since, as he has won a total of 17 titles to date.
His most recent one came in this year’s $1,050 8-Game Event, where he won over a small field of 56 elite players to take home the title and a $21k payout.
While this title may seem a bit insignificant in the grand scheme of things, it is Glaser’s ability to consistently win in one of the most prestigious online poker series that sets him apart from his opponents and makes this victory so important.
Glaser celebrated his most recent win with a short post on Instagram, where he announced that this win was a great way to motivate himself for the rest of the series, showcasing his winner’s mentality and continuing thirst for trophies and glory that will likely make him one of the most successful tournament players of all time over the next decade.
All-Star Game Brings Out the Hustler Casino Live Legends
Another week of Hustler Casino Live programming brought us another set of outstanding games, including a 2-day All-Star Game, which featured some of the most prominent HCL players of all time.
Day 1 of action included the likes of Mariano, Big Mike, DGAF, Britney, and 3Coin, joined by Ryan Feldman himself for a session of $100/$100 NLH.
The initial stakes may have been somewhat limited, but the action got fast and loose before long, and six-figure pots became the norm.
At the end of the day, it was the Argentine poker vlogger Mariano who got the best of it, taking home $172k in profit, followed by DGAF and Britney, who booked small wins as well.
On the other side of the aisle were Ryan, Dr.H, 3Coin, and Big Mike, all of whom posted five-figure losses in a relatively friendly game for HCL standards.
The second All-Star Game session turned into more of a bloodbath, as the likes of Nik Airball, Rampage, Big Mike, Turbo, and Ryan Feldman were joined by MMA legend Ryan Garcia at the felt.

Nik Airball continued his incredible cash game streak with another $254k win, while Garcia joined him in the winner’s column with a $90k victory of his own.
On the other hand, it was Turbo who got burnt the worst, as he dropped $274k in the game, continuing his streak of bad luck and questionable decisions on the show.
The HCL All-Star Game failed to compare to previous special editions like the Million Dollar Games hosted by the show in previous years, but still brought us some huge pots, exciting moments, and amazing banter between some of the game’s most recognizable players.
