WPT Champions BraceletSee the bracelet?

It’s definitely different than any championship bracelet I’ve seen… Sterling silver and titanium with a diamond in the spade on the logo. Interesting and original design, I must admit.

I’m sure it looks much nicer in reality than in this photo.

There are comments just waiting to be made, but I won’t do it. Please do it for me.

    Okay, the more I stare at this, the more I think it’s truly heinous. First of all, WHO at Tiffany designed this? Louis Comfort Tiffany certainly didn’t. Is he rolling over in his grave? Who would this look good on… let’s think about some past WPT champions. This is just a random sampling as I can think of them. No bias whatsoever. Really. You can believe me.

    Daniel Negreanu – no
    Dan Harrington – no
    Carlos Mortensen – just okay
    Gus Hansen – yes
    Kevin Saul – no
    Alan Goehring – no
    Michael Mizrachi – maybe
    Phil Ivey – not really

    Okay, I’ll stop now. I fear a reprisal from the editorial crew here. :O)

    Oh, I just realized that there is no need for this bracelet to look good on anyone, unless they plan on wearing it…

    Why not make a kick-ass watch? Tiffany makes some very nice timepieces. Then people would wear it, it would be a talking point, and it would look good on everyone.

    Honestly, I’m sure it looks better in person… but from the photo, it kinda looks like something a rocker in the 80′s would have worn. Maybe it’s just me after a long day, but it looks like denim-type material that would fray at the ends.

    Obviously, it’s not denim.

    I know they wanted to make it look different from the WSOP bracelet, but Lisa, you’re right. Why not do a watch? Why not even a necklace? (Either a manly subtle necklace or a Scotty Nguyen big ass chain – either one.)

    Well, I’m going to the ceremony on the 21st where they will give out the bracelets. I’ll check it out and get some comments from the people who will be getting the bracelet.

    You know what you should do? Pictures of the bracelets on the wrists. Then we’ll get Dan to post a poll here where we can match the wrists in column A with the faces in column B.

    Or take a waist up picture of the bracelet winners, as they will now be called, and you can post them with the Glamour “black bar” over their eyes.

    I think I mentioned to someone yesterday when I saw the photo that it looked like a deluxe cat collar. I haven’t changed my opinion. :-)
