Jason Newitt Sues Full Tilt, Lederer, et al.
Another Ex-FTP Employee Suits Up
The Full Tilt Poker legal team is busy. On the heels of the presumably still-unresolved Clonie Gowen $40 million lawsuit, another case was filed in the Nevada court system on September 11, 2009. This is the only information available thus far:
Jason Newitt
v.
Tiltware; Full Tilt Poker; Pocket Kings Ltd.; Pocket Kings Consulting Ltd.; Raymond Bitar; Howard Lederer
9/11/2009Contract action. Plaintiff says he was unfairly fired, and that his distribution payments were unfairly ceased. Defendants then took control of his ownership.
Newitt was the former Tilt employee responsible for inadvertently forwarding Howard Lederer e-mail about Jimmy “Gobboboy” Fricke (the “freak and very weird dude”) — an “oops” that revealed a little something about Lederer and Bitar’s positions and powers within the Full Tilt money machine. Whether or not this had anything to do with Newitt’s dismissal and the subsequent lawsuit remains to be seen until we get our sneaky little hands on the court documents.

The problem is I think you need to be an attorney in Nevada to access the document. I can’t find it anywhere.

It’s also another case taken up by Howard and Howard against Full Tilt Poker.

Jen, I’m pretty sure I can access the docs. I’ve got that book somewhere around here …
Kevmath, you are referring to the attorneys I presume? Interesting indeed. pigs at the trough, for sure. question is who’s troughing whom? And is there a teat to be suckled? I’ll workshop that metaphor …
JDN, we don’t really pay much attention to tournaments around here. So we love a good lawsuit to help us learn these things. Thanks much. Congrats on your win.

Yes, Howard and Howard (who also are handling Clonie’s case) are Jason’s attorneys as well.

Kevmath,
I think this is just the beginning of a long drawn out case after case with Full Tilt.It looks to me now as being “Personal” Howard and Howard appear to be ‘Looking” for clients.

Howard and Howard? Sounds like they have 2 of the Three Stooges as their attorneys.
I am an attorney and I can tell you the discovery in this case will be done in a way to scare the hell out of FTP, especially if they have any skeletons they don’t want to come out.
It will settle. You watch.
