Phil Hellmuth Wins his 10th!
Bodog Party was just so-so. $1/$2 NL that followed was sweet — especially once the drunken Swedes arrived.
Buy-in(s): $400 (2)
Cash out: $1,005
Net: +$605
For me, I mean …
Hellmuth’s buy-in was $1,000. His cashout was $631,863. Phil’s Net: +$630,863.
Perhaps more important bragadocio-wise, Phil edges ahead of Jeff Madsen in the race to win the entire WSOP.
Hellmuth hasn’t been using his cell phone.
CardPlayer’s lead story(s) right now:
Jason Lester wins 2006 $5k PLHE bracelet
Justin Scott wins 2006 $2.5k No-Limit bracelet
James Richburg wins 2006 $1.5k Razz bracelet
Part 2 of a Day in the Life of the Grinder
Am a little confused about whether this was a rebuy tourney or not. According to CardPlayer, it may or may not have been a rebuy tournament, and either way, there were just two (2) of them.

Card Player can never figure out that rebuy thing for some reason. According to Nolan Dalla’s recap over at Bluff, there were almost 1,700 rebuys. Also, since Madsen made the final table of the 1k Stud 8, he’ll be back in the WSOP POY lead, no matter what place he finishes.

This Madsen kid is just performing sensationally… I mean, O8, NLHE and now S8?! Incredible.
