Bracelet Winner Nabbed in Tennessee Poker Sting
A poker room in Kingsport, Tennessee, got raided Friday night — 15 people arrested, one of those being Paul McKinney, winner of the 2005 WSOP Seniors event. Police confiscated nearly $20,000 in cash, and apparently believe McKinney, age 82, was the one running the room.
McKinney was one of two people charged with aggravated gambling promotion on suspicion of organizing and promoting the event, according to police reports. Police also said McKinney was charged with possession of Schedule III narcotics after pills were found in his pocket.
Drugs, too? For shame! My whole belief system is being challenged to learn that the man who at one was time the oldest player to win a WSOP bracelet now takes prescription medication!
McKinney has 34 cashes in major tourneys to his name.

Am I the only one who thinks this guy looks like Puggy Pearson?

Jen, I think you are being an “agist” by implying that they all look alike.
(Either that or a “stogist.”)

I was referring to the W.C. Fields pic and a pic of Tiny B I remember seeing once. 🙂 I could be way off because I don’t remember his nose being quite that large.

ah, yes, i see the resemblance:
we should be ashamed of ourselves for trivializing Paul McKinney’s travails.
