The final and official number of entrants in the $50K HORSE event is 148. That means the prize pool is the same as last year – $7,104,000. Payouts are different, though, as it seems Harrah’s tried to even out the players’ scores a bit.

That’s a pretty nice adjustment there. Jen, not to give you “assignments” publicly while I
sit at home watching replays of the Germany/Turkey match-upwork from home, but if you get a chance, can you find out from Effel or Nolan or someone if they applied a new formula to all the tournaments, or just this one?I like the flattened payout structure … and the fact that this huge HORSE event has the exact same number of entrants as last year gives us quite the unique scientific example to break down some slight varioations between 07 and 08 … and theoretically show just how tight Harrah’s game is this year.

Sure, Dan. I’ll get on it.
BTW, are you hungry from working all day? Can I arrange to have some food sent to your home? Or can I bring you some coffee? I’d be happy to drive it over in my spare time. 😉
