There are only a couple of days left to secure your seat for Day 2 action of ACRPoker’s two Venom Mystery Bounty events. With Day 2 taking place on September 2 and everyone who makes it eligible for bounties, there is plenty of reason to get involved as it is.
But as things stand right now, there could be significant overlays in these tournaments, creating loads of added value for those who actually get in the mix.
In case you’ve somehow missed the news, ACRPoker has been running Day 1 flights for its two Venom events for a few weeks now. These two tournaments combined bring $15,000,000 in guaranteed prizes. The NLHE version features a promise of $12,000,000, while the PLO tournament will dish out $3,000,000 in prize money.
And, as things stand right now, overlays are very likely.
A Risk Worth Taking
Venom events are not cheap to enter. With each tournament featuring a $2,650 buy-in, they are certainly not within most players’ usual bankroll guidelines. That said, with significant overlays looking likely, this is the kind of opportunity that doesn’t come around often.
This is not to say that anyone should spend the money they can’t afford to spend to take a single shot at a poker tournament. Luckily, there are ways to get involved much more cheaply and taking a more sensible risk.
ACRPoker is running a variety of satellites, giving everyone a chance to win a Day 1 seat at a significant discount. There are Venom Mega Satellites available at $109 and $55, offering at least 30 and 15 seats in the tournament.
Taking a couple of shots at these satellites makes sense as you can expect relatively soft fields and have a real shot at winning a seat in one of the largest online tournaments of the year.

Venom tournaments feature a popular mystery bounty format, which means that you could win big long before the final table is formed. The moment Day 2 action starts, bounties will be in play, and eliminating any player will bring you some cash.
How much exactly is down to RNG, but there are over $4,000,000 set aside for the bounty prize pool in the NLHE event.
The minimum bounty you can get is $5,000, so if you can win a seat via a satellite and make it to Day 2, every elimination could be a significant boost to your bankroll. The top bounty is $500,000, and one lucky player will claim it.
