    says:

The WSOP seems to think having two day 1’s for an event (Event 4A/B) means it’s two separate tournaments.

  2. DanM
    says:

I don’t get it … what do you mean? Did they miscount something?

  3. Kevin Mathers
    says:

Recall I noted there were 38 tournaments with a buyin of $2,500 and lower?

  4. DanM
    says:

Ahh, I see. They are counting 39 … the real number is 38.

Sorry, my bad. It’s become instinctive for me when it comes to facts, Kevin, to see yours and just ignore everything else.

  5. Kevin Mathers
    says:

It’s me being a nit I suppose. I did the same thing to Andrew Feldman over at espn.com.

  6. DanM
    says:

    Awesome. Andrew loves being wrong.

  7. Zero
    says:

Wonder why they deleted Pot Limit Holdem $2K?

    What’s “triple chance” ?

  9. Kevin Mathers
    says:

From Seth Palansky, via Andrew Feldman at espn.com:

“Essentially like a re-buy without paying for rebuying. You’ll get a starting chip stack, and then two additional equal chip stacks to be used at any point you wish during the first two levels. So you can elect to take all three equal stacks up front, wait until you bust, add a stack anywhere in between.”

  10. DanM
    says:

I think they’ll need to work on this one in future WSOPs. Sounds close to really cool, but a little off. Of course I’m biased because I used to throw a big annual tourney that was a triple-chance tourney (Go Pokerati Invitational) that was a little different and therefore better.

  11. DanM
    says:

NOTE: Kevin, I fixed the 39-38 … just for you.

  12. Kevin Mathers
    says:

    Thank you Dan.

Now it’s time to work on your blog roll…

  13. DanM
    says:

What’d you say? I can’t here you … I think I’ve got a bad connection. Can I call you back?

  14. zachdealer
    says:

Getting rid of the rebuy’s I think is great, it just takes too long for dealers to get each rebuy done. And not to mention it’s the only way they have money short from dealer’s screwing up and getting fired over not having the correct amount.

what is this triple chance and how do u get the extra chips
