2010 NHUPC Bracket Pairings Make Your Picks Here

Let the heads-up fun begin. Ali Nejad and Leann Tweeden called out the pairings at Pure in Caesars Palace last night. Here’s a print-outable PDF of the official bracket for the 2010 National Heads-Up Championship, which gets underway today at 1 pm pacific.
Make your own picks via Pokerati’s bracket-tracker to see how our various predictions compare. We’ve got about nine five hours to come up with some sort of contest … a T-shirt is always standard, but I have to admit we’re running low on Pokerati shirts for really-really large men.
Big ups to @JessWelman who kept us posted live on Twitter, and @BarryGreenstein who accidentally sent a private tweet to Phil Ivey for all the public to see. (Gavin Smith plays small-ball; should walk into Ivey’s wheelhouse.)

Some amusing Round 1 matchups:
Yang v Matusow (Yang 2-0 in round 1 matches)
Tilly v Harman
Hellmuth v Lederer
Greenstein v Rousso (Greenstein 5-0 in round 1 matches)
Seidel v Seed (Seidel 0-5 v Seed 5-0 in round 1)
Edit: I understand the need for the draw party, but having it the night before really sucks for those who’d love to do brackets.

does anyone have the starting times for each quarter of the bracket? i know the first one goes at 1, but not sure which one it is and how it breaks down from there. Wanna be able to set the time when certain matches close.

Since they need to get 32 matches done today, I assume once one bracket is done, they’ll get the next one going ASAP.

I’l try to find out. Sent a message to Carlos at NBC, he’s still sleeping. I’m not sure you’re exactly right … indeed, they will want to move it along as quickly as possible, but they take a pause between groups to make time for TV set-up and the like.

Dan–
I know one set of matches is supposed to start at 5:45PM and another at 8:00PM. That leaves me guessing that there is one flight at the 1PM start time and their would be a fourth set of matches around…3:15?

And inevitably they’ll be running a little late. They always do. I just wanna be able to leave unplayed brackets open and close the ones that have already gotten underway.
Next year we’ll chat earlier. I’m thinking Jess Welman Consolation Cookies would be a much more desirable prize than Pokerati t-shirts that may or may not fit.

Yeah, 3:15 for the second flight of matches sounds right. I know they have a set call at 2:45.

Upset city early on:
Two of the least respected recent ME winners move to round 2 (Moneymaker over Antonius, Gold over Minieri).
