Over the last few weeks, all attention was on two Venom events, a couple of exciting online tournaments that brought $15,000,000 in combined guarantees, split between the regular and the mystery bounty prize pools.
There were many different paths and opportunities to get involved in a tournament despite a big $2,650 buy-in, and many ACRPoker players took advantage of those opportunities. Some of them are playing today in Day 2, chasing after those juicy bounties.
If you missed out on those particular opportunities, the good news is that Americas Cardroom has a lot more to offer across its rich tournament schedule, and we are bringing you a selection of must-play events.
ACRPoker 25th Anniversary Tournament
Americas Cardroom has been catering to players from all over the world for a quarter of a century. This year, the operator is celebrating its 25th anniversary, and what better way to do it than with a special tournament?
The 25th Anniversary Tournament features a buy-in of $250 and a massive guarantee of $2,500,000. Day 1 flights have been running on the site for a while now, but there are still many opportunities leading up to Day 2 on September 28.
On top of a big prize pool, what makes this tournament quite unique is the cumulative stack format. This means that you can play as many Day 1 flights as you like and, instead of carrying forward your biggest stack, all the chips you manage to finish individual flights with will be stacked together at the start of Day 2.
If $250 is too much for your bankroll, there are also satellites starting as low as $1.05, so you can win a Day 1 seat or two at a big discount.
Phil’s Thrill Events for High Rollers
Occasional tournaments like Venom and anniversary events are a lot of fun, but tournament grinders need something they can regularly sink their teeth into. And ACRPoker has plenty of weekly events to keep you busy.
Sitting very high on that list are Phil’s Thrill and Mini Phil’s Thrill. Both tournaments take place every Sunday and are geared toward high-stakes players.
Buy-ins are not small. To get involved, you’ll have to pay $10,300 and $2,650. The $10k version is ACRPoker’s largest weekly tournament, and it was named after the site CEO, Phil Nagy. He even joins the action every now and again, adding some extra excitement to the whole thing.
Mini Phil’s Thrill is smaller in comparison, but with a buy-in of $2,650, this is not a small-stakes tournament. The event features a $200,000 guarantee and a tough lineup, but if you’re looking for a challenge, you’ll feel right at home.
Smash & Splash Tournaments for Smaller Bankrolls
Phil Thrills are exciting, but they are certainly not for everyone. It takes quite a bankroll to play in these regularly, even if you rely on satellites.
Luckily, there are many lower buy-in tournaments on ACRPoker, and two Sunday events really stand out:
- $11 Splash – $50,000 GTD
- $22 Smash – $75,000 GTD
These two events offer very sizeable guarantees compared to buy-ins, and there are satellites running around the clock where you can win a seat for just a couple of bucks.
Of course, this is just a small piece of the overall offering. Americas Cardroom features a packed MTT schedule every single day, so whether you want to play a few odd tournaments on a weekend or are looking to put in a heavy grind several days a week, they’ve got you covered.
