Go “Tex”-y Poker?

LAS VEGAS–Why is it that any semi-known from Texas gets the nickname Tex? Last year we saw it with John/Derek Barch … who is now known simply as Tex Barch.

Lloyd Shinn is doing well in the $1,500 NLH event. He’s in 11th chip position with 23 left. But have any of you ever called him Lloyd “Tex” Shinn before?

(Mel “semi-Brit” Judah and Matthew Hilger are also still alive.)

I guess Lloyd joins some good homeboy company:

Tex Brunson
Tex Cloutier
Tex Gordon
Tex Gowen
Tex Williams
Tex “Todd” Brunson
Tex Beal
Tex Fawcett
et al.
