Congratulations to not-so-amateur hold’em player Bruce Priddy, who edged out his Republican opponent to become judge of Dallas County’s 116th district civil court.
He joins Antonin Scalia as one of two judges in the United States that Pokerati knows to clearly understand poker. It’s almost enough to inspire me to commit crimes and sue people!

Carlos Cortez, a regular tournament and cash player at [game redacted–ed], also won the district judge race as a Democrat for the 44th Judicial District. Carlos comes from the ATC school of poker (any two cards can win).
