LAS VEGAS – They play 10-handed until they reach nine for a regular Hold’em event, seven handed until they reach six in a six handed event. Therefore, tenth and seventh are not officially final tables. According to the WSOP Structure Sheet:
Day Two will resume at Xpm on XXXX, 2007, and play down to the final table.
Furthermore, BJ clarifies:
But play continued on Day 2 until #7 busted. The official final table started on Day 3 with just six players, and only those six players receive “credit†for reaching the final table.
This is all null and void if the seventh or tenth player is Vinnie Vinh.
