He’s The Man

There was one lone man who attempted to play in the WSOP Ladies event today. Alan Jaffray, whom you might remember from the Event #5 final table last week, bought the dress, accessorized, and was ready to take his seat in the tournament…until Jeffrey Pollack stopped him and asked him to leave in the name of “integrity.”
His account of the situation is written up in my article just posted on PokerWorks.
My favorite quote from Alan: “Eventually they’ll try to deny entry to the wrong person – like, say, a pre-op transsexual woman – and there will be fireworks. When that day comes, I will serve popcorn. (Smile) Until then, I have an amusing story to tell and a new appreciation for accessories and lipstick.”

Playing a tournament in drag is like so 2004.

Perry Friedman and some of the TiltBoys friends (re-enacting their Bay 101 stunt of a few years ago) did it earlier this year at the WPT Ladies Championship

I wouldn’t doubt he’s one.

I believe he did wear a similar hat at the $1k/rebuy final table.

It’s good to know Alan Jaffray (not to be confused with Allyn Jaffrey) is standing up for the rights of pre-op transexuals.
